Ford Puma ST 8 Jun Ford Puma: old vs new. On the one hand the Puma is a small crossover based on the Fiesta, so it ought to be fun to drive in a way very few small crossovers actually are. But on the other hand, there's another small crossover based on the Fiesta. It's the Ecosport, and it's a bit rubbish. In fact, Ford's crossovers are pretty spotty. Even when dry, it's the biggest and most convenient boot in the small crossover class. Number two, they added a lot of tech. Buyers liked it, too, and in its first year on sale the Puma was the ninth best-selling car in the UK, which means there are now plenty of them to hunt down on the used car market.

Mild-hybrid assistance is an option for the bhp unit and standard on the more powerful version. All Pumas are paired with a six-speed manual gearbox that drives the front wheels, with a seven-speed automatic standard on the non-hybrid version of the Ecoboost All trim levels come with an 8.

You also get a wireless charging pad, which makes it easier to charge certain smartphones. Titanium trim comes with 17in alloy wheels, automatic lights and wipers, climate control and cruise control. On top of that, you also get rear parking sensors and a wireless phone charger.

ST-Line trim brings sportier styling and swaps the conventional instrument dials behind the steering wheel for a The range-topping ST-Line X Vignale gets full leather seats heated in the front , a heated leather steering wheel and keyless entry. On the road, the Puma is great fun to drive.
